Decent product for the price
For the price, it’s pretty good. Good for beginners!The epilator is quite loud and sounds scary when you first use it. If you’ve never used one before, it’s pretty terrifying. This was also my first epilator and I was intimidated when I first plugged it in. After a couple weeks of using it, it’s not scary at all! Just loud!The noise is a bit louder than I expected, which some may not like. There are two speeds which I’d say is around the same. The slider for selecting speed is kinda weird that it slides really easily to the max, so I recommend caution if you need it to stay on the slow speed.The small light on the front is very helpful when getting close to the skin. The machine itself is a decent size and fits in your hand well. The head part with the « tweezers/razor » comes off for easy cleaning. There is a small tiny brush that comes with the box which is very useful as the tweezed hair can fly everywhere when you use it. The cord is also a pretty good length.I’d recommend it for hair that is thicker and maybe 1cm+ longer otherwise the epilator won’t be able to pick it up. My hair is actually on the thinner side, especially on my arms, which I feel like it isn’t really pulling it out but rather snapping the shaft off. It works fine on my armpit and leg hair though. If your hair tends to be thinner or brittle, it may not work as intended and may not get the hair bulb out.Despite that, I think it’s a good product. It works for more average thickness hair. It might work even better for very thick hair. The pain wasn’t so bad, and you get used to it very quickly. I don’t even blink anymore at the highest speed and now I roll it across my skin more slowly so it can have time to pick up the hair. If you’ve waxed/tweezed before like I have, the pain of the epilator compared to those (imo) is less.

I have had a Chinese made epilator for many years that I absolutely loved. When I lost it recentlyI was worried I wasnât going to find another one that worked as well. Well, let me just say I wish I had lost my Chinese epilator years ago. Every blonde woman with a hairy upper lip, or should I say, fine haired mustache knows that there are longer hairs, then there are shorter hairs, and then there are shorter hairs, and then there are longer hairs of those shorter finer hairs. With the last one I owned, It had a plastic safety guard on it, which I liked, so it didnât actually get too close to hurt me . However, It would never get those â longer finerâ hairs unlessI took the safety plastic piece off the device. I got used to using it that way, and learned how to use it without tearing my skin apart. But there were times when I first got it, however, that I did end up giving myself scabs from the device (definitely a learning curve). Not with this one, though. This one does not get the tiny tiny little hairs that no one can really see unless they are deliberately looking for them very closely with their glasses on. But it does get the longer of the finer hairs. No one cares about those tiny tiny little hairs that no one can see anyway. The only thing that can get those is a razor. So basically what Iâm saying is, this device gets more of the hair off and it does it in about 1/8th of the time of some other epilators. It doesnât have the plastic piece guard that my other one had, yet it still doesnât skin my face when I try to Get closer to the skin. It didnât work straight out of the box. I had to put it on the charger in order to get it to start working. But Iâm sure once itâs charged it will work fine without the charger. And even if it doesnât, the way it works being hooked up to the charger deserves a full five stars as it is. Itâs only been one use, but I am very very, very, very happy with the results. Itâs a bit scary at first Because you feel like itâs gonna get too close and it might be scratching your skin up. But itâs not. Itâs simply pulling out the hair and that is what you were feeling. I would highly recommend this epilator to anyone with more hair on their upper lip than desired. I would definitely repurchase if something happened to this one. Braun, please donât change this epilator unless youâre actually going to make it better, which I donât know how you can because it works very very well as it is.

Great budget hair removal
Pain: It does sting, especially at first. It is similar to waxing, but constant instead of one rip then done. Waxing isn’t that painful to me though (and I even have a fairly low pain tolerance) and this is also not TOO bad. Definitely not « pain free » though. (This is considering I only use it on my legs)Grow back: Again, similar to waxing I don’t think as much hair grows back. But plenty still do. My problem was as the hair grew back, the hair grew underneath my outermost layer of skin (not necessarily ingrown hairs because they weren’t red and swollen, just covered in a very thin skin layer). That was even after I took advice from others and exfoliated before and every day after using the epilator. This made it hard to use again, because obviously the epilator couldn’t work if the hair wasn’t accessible. I found that I need to alternate using the epilator, then shave to get that outer most skin layer off. So, if you plan to do that, this product will work well. If you ONLY want to use an epilator, it might be tricky. (Again, for leg use)Cleaning: It is hard to clean and get all the hairs out of the part that yanks them out.Cord: I actually prefer it only working when the cord is plugged in because then you don’t need to worry about it dying mid session. It takes quite a while to do half of your legs (knees down) probably around 45 minutes or so.Still looking for the perfect hair removal solution that isn’t super expensive laser hair removal. This is a good option, but like everything else, not perfect.

After trying a lot of different hair removal methods, I’ve come to really love epilation. It lasts longer, so you don’t have to do it every couple days, and it’s less painful and definitely less expensive than other long-term hair removal solutions.The device:Works great right out of the box. If you’ve never used an epilator before, you might be surprised by how loud it is, but it’s no louder than any other similar device. I like that it’s small and compact, so it’s easy to store, use, and even travel with if you plan on going somewhere for an extended time. The only drawback is that the device must be plugged in to use, but the cord is nice and long and honestly, I prefer plug-in devices as opposed to ones that die halfway through using because they need to be charged, or that eat batteries. If you’re new to epilation, definitely give this a try, as it delivers results in a compact, easy to use unit. It works on hair that is significantly shorter than you need to have when waxing, so you really only need to have 3-4 days of regrowth (after shaving) for it to be effective, as opposed to the weeks you might need to wait to get the length required for other methods.Epilation:Because you’re plucking hairs out from the root, and multiple ones at a time, it’s not going to be painless. I found when I started, the first use was the worst, as the hair is going to be the thickest and it’s going to be pulling out the most at once. For me, the feeling is somewhere between a tattoo and a razor burn, so not excruciating, but not comfortable either. As you use it over the hair’s natural growth cycle (different hairs will grow at different rates), you’re pulling out less at a time, so it becomes significantly less painful after the first use.Unlike razors and waxing, epilators only take out the hair, so you’re not taking the top layer of skin, too. I found it to be significantly less painful than waxing (especially when you chicken out and can’t pull the strip off as quickly as you’re supposed to), and as someone who is prone to razor burn, I can say that the brief discomfort of the epilator is preferable to experiencing burning skin from razor burn for days at a time., and I experience far fewer ingrown hairs than I did with shaving.

Wouldn’t really write a review for a product but this one is amazing. Going from a cheap knockoff brand that ripped my skin out and left a huge scar I was deterred from epilators. I was getting frustrated over shaving my light hair so on a whim tried this one out from a friend recommendation. It does everything so well, works on underarms and legs and arms amazing. Couldn’t recommend this product enough.
